We are doing 2 mountains in one day. Both short walks but maximum gain for the effort. A bit of uphill walking.

Wild Horse Mountain Lookout  (height about 123 metres) is near the Glasshouse Mountains. We usually don’t do this mountain as it is too small for a daywalk by itself and we normally do the other ones.  It has been years since we last did this mountain. (The Club Archivist thinks the mountain was last done by the Club as a social about 18 years ago when Maxine Brophy had a Vinnies fundraising dinner on Wildhorse Mountain). The walk is  about 1.4-km out-and-back trail near Beerburrum, Queensland.  It takes an average of 35 min to complete the walk although it is a steep uphill walk. Great views from here.

.Mount Coolum (height 208 m)  is situated north of Brisbane and overlooks the beautiful beaches of Coolum. This

route is quite steep; however, it has been recently renovated to provide an easier journey to the top. We last did the walk in February 2020 (i.e. just before Covid hit). The track has approximately 306 steps which lead to great views towards Maroochydore. Please bring your togs as there will be plenty of time to go for a swim. There are also BBQs at Marcoola
