This will be the second time the club has done a walk here.  We will commence from Raaen Road gate and continue along the Old Wamuran Rail Trail until we reach the Mango Tree Trailhead, where we will have morning tea.  This is a shared trail, so expect to see cyclists and perhaps horse riders along the trail.

After morning tea, we will be following Trail Number 3 which has plenty of hills to ascend and descend, and there is a swamp at the bottom.  We will continue following the arrows of Trail Number 3 until we reach the Old Wamuran Rail Trail near the beginning.

There is a lot of history to this rail trail which used to continue on to Kilcoy and there are a lot of ferns at the beginning of the rail trail.  Very flat at first but when we reach the third trail, we will start to come across the hills and obstacles.  On the pre outing, there were a lot of fallen trees.  We will have lunch along trail number 3 when we can find a log to sit on.

We will gather at the public toilets at Wamuran before beginning the walk.  There is also a piece of the old wooden trail amongst the ferns at the beginning which someone spotted at the beginning.  Hope you can come and join me on these trails and let me know by Thursday so I can arrange transport.
